Subject: Installing MySQL 4.1 on Fedora Core 3
Anyone have any luck
installing MySQL 4.1 on a Fedora Core 3 box?
I downloaded the
rpms from www.mysql .com and installed via rpm -ihv MySQL*
Install went OK but
MySQL refuses to start.
Running
/etc/init.d/mysql start
does
nothing
Running
/etc/init.d/mysql stop
does
nothing
Running
/etc/init.d/mysql restart
gives:
./mysql line 200: ./mysql: No such file or
directory
./mysql line 201: ./mysql: No such file or
directory
Note: I had to uninstall MySQL 3.23
(did so via webmin).
Any idea?
Don
