Again, the official binaries from enigmail.mozdev.org don't work since they are for the thunderbird binaries from mozilla.org.
I should qualify this. The above is for x86-64. The enigmail.xpi contains a DSO which obviously is not machine-independent. The official enigmail .xpi is built for x86, so not usable.
