You are speaking about the files {hosts.byaddr, hosts.byname, groupe.byname,
passwd.byname ....}. Yes this database exists. I have recreated it.  IT is
in "/var/yp/nis.a22.TPnis" .
The system give me the same answer when I do:  "ypcat group" or "ypcat
passwd"...
I think that the problem is: The system does'nt point to this database !!!!
