Now, I want to burn the FC3 CDs but I just found I can't and haven't been able to find a solution after googling and trying various combinations of the cdrecord command. This system is up to date with yum updates.
This is what I get when I do a scanbus
[root@gmc heidelberg-binary-i386]# cdrecord --scanbus --dev=ATA
Cdrecord-Clone 2.01-dvd (i686-pc-linux-gnu) Copyright (C) 1995-2004
scsidev: 'ATA'
devname: 'ATA'
scsibus: -2 target: -2 lun: -2
Linux sg driver version: 3.5.27
Using libscg version 'schily-0.8'.
cdrecord: Warning: using inofficial libscg transport code version (schily - Red Hat-scsi-linux-sg.c-1.83-RH '@(#)scsi-linux-sg.c 1.83 04/05/20 Copyright 1997 J. Schilling').
scsibus1:
cdrecord: Warning: controller returns wrong size for CD capabilities page.
1,0,0 100) 'SONY ' 'CD-RW CRX320E ' 'NYK2' Removable CD-ROM
And the following is what I get when I try to burn a CD:
[root@gmc heidelberg-binary-i386]# cdrecord --dev=ATA:1,0,0\ FC3-i386-disc1.iso
cdrecord: No write mode specified.
cdrecord: Asuming -tao mode.
cdrecord: Future versions of cdrecord may have different drive dependent defaults.
cdrecord: Continuing in 5 seconds...
