You can open up a term in graphical mode... one of the small word menus at the bottom (at least they have one in Gnome).
And then in /etc/inittab set initdefault from 5 to 3 and reboot.

Hi,
Newly installed Fedora Core 3 machine. I cannot log in via graphical mode (I loaded KDE) as it just hangs after I enter my user/password. Is there a way to force boot in text mode?
