New FC3 Access Problems?
[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]
I have recently rebuilt my home server with Fedora Core 3, up from FC1.
At the moment, the laptops on my home network cannot access CUPS or
Samba services on the server. I am using essentially the same
configurations as on FC1, including the same entries in iptables. I can
access the server with ping and ssh. I can print through CUPS locally on
the server and I can run smbclient on the server.
Is there some new layer of remote access control in FC3 that I'm not
aware of? Would it be turned on by default? Where do I learn about it?
I realize there are lots of configuration options for both CUPS and
Samba, and I will continue to research those. But I thought I should ask
in case there was something I was complete unaware of.
Thanks!
