Hi Chris,

I'm running a T41 as well (2373-9FU to be exact). There is an update for the BIOS that you may want to try. This fixed all of my errors about from the kernel bitching about problems with my BIOS and thus acpi not working properly.

I have not made the jump to FC3 yet (my harddrive crashed something bad [7200 RPM, 60GB drive] so I'm running Knoppix til I get a replacement).

HTH,
Harry

Hi all,

I have an IBM ThinkPad T41 and have installed FC3.
Ever since I moved from FC1 to FC2 and then FC3, the machine crashes
after running for a while (a while = 30 minutes to several hours).

My current boot line looks like this:
kernel /vmlinuz-2.6.9-1.681_FC3 ro root=LABEL=/ rhgb pci=noacpi acpi=off
apm=off

I have tried with acpi on or apm on, or no arguments or with nofb -
nothing seems to help.

When the machine staops, the 'CAPS-LOCK' indicator is flashing (Looks
like an 'A' inside a christmas tree).

Best regards,
Chris
