What was fixed was the old cyrus.m4 macro file. See bugzilla

I think it is worth to open a bugzilla ticket for the correct LMTP socket path with the cyrusv2 macro.
Hmmm... Would you mind opening it? I have a feeling if I open just one more ticket, they'll put me on ignore list :-)
