I recently purchased an LG CD/DVD writer, model GSA-4160B. I have been having an issue trying to write CDs on this device using fc2. When I pop in a blank CDR, the nautilus CD creator comes up, and I am able to drag files onto the window and write to the CDR successfully. When I use cdrecord, the writing process fails. When I type in cdrecord -checkdrive, I get the following: Cdrecord-Clone 2.01-dvd (i686-pc-linux-gnu) Copyright (C) 1995-2004 Jörg Schilling Note: This version is an unofficial (modified) version with DVD support Note: and therefore may have bugs that are not present in the original. Is this a software or hardware issue? I am leaning towards it being a software issue as I was able to burn a CD with nautilus. I appreciate any help!! Thanks! Chris
