I can't imagine why opening ooffice would try to contact that net block, or any other for that matter. Ooffice doesn't do that here. If you don't get any other concrete ideas on this I'd be tempted to remove and re-install OpenOffice to see if that makes a difference. If you were running a Windows box I'd suggest a diagnostic program program like "spybot" but .....
