It's perfectly normal :) Buffers and caches uses up whatever RAM you
aren't using. You should look at the 2nd line to see how much memory
you're actually using, not counting buffers and cache.
It's been working this way for a long time :)

Hi all
I'm running FC2 with the latest 2.6.9-1.6_FC2smp Kernel, but it seems
that it doesn't release buffer and cached memory so that memory used
under sar -r shows memory used is always 90% +, is this something new
or a bug?
total used free shared buffers cached
Mem: 1009 977 32 0 222 610
-/+ buffers/cache: 144 865
Swap: 2000 0 2000
Many thanks,
Yang
