Terry Grier said about Thunderbird 0.9 RPM: >TB 9 is listed in my up2date but when I click it and go through the >menus... up2date.. declares I am up to date.. but yet... I still have >TB.8 and the red ! still flashes at me. > >I just went to get the rpm and I am going to do it myself I really don't like to say "Me Too", but I decided to update with 15 pending updates last night. I could not get up2date to get past pulling in the header files for the alsa-libs update. So, I su'd and ran yum update alsa-libs. No problem, update installed. Next on the list was boost and boost-libs. So I ran yum update boost. Yum retrieved the base and updates files and showed 290 updates since FC3's release, an increase of 17 since the last run. But there was no boost package found. The same thing happened when I ran yum update boost-libs. I don't like to run a 'blanket' command like yum update because of the openoffice update that is pending (and another 160 MB download run which over my connection is an all-nighter.) It looks like something is broken with both up2date, as it reports that I'm good, but I know the openoffice update is definately not complete and yum because it will not pull in a single package update that is offical. And just for grins, I decided to reboot the system and try pulling in boost twice, from two different repos. Any thoughts? James McKenzie A Proud User of Linux!
