If I were to install RH9, what support would exist?

http://fedoralegacy.org/ supports RH9-based systems. http://tummy.com/Products/krud/ still has support for security patches to RH9, and even plain errata patches, too. KRUD even has "krud2date" that parallels many of the features of up2date (text mode.)

If you decide to multiboot RH9 and FC3 (or even FC2), then you should
be aware of the "feature" that extended attributes on ext3 filesystems,
which are used by SELinux, are incompatibile with kernel-2.4.20.  You
_must_ patch your RH9 kernel first, else booting will fail.  See:
