Hi, please check if your /etc/X11/XOrg.conf has any modes above "800x600" listet in the Section "Screen" where your monitor is defined. (For FC1 the file to check is /etc/X11/XF86Config, but i assume you are using FC3) The Section "Screen" does contain a SubSection named "Display". It should look something like this SubSection "Display" Depth 24 Modes "1024x786" "800x600" If the "Modes" line does not contain any resolutions above "800x600" that probably is the cause of your problem.
