Having Fedora x86_64 core 2.9, I am about to upgrade to core 3 and would like to know if I can boot the install with 'scsi dmx3191d.k' to engage the required module to drive my scanner.
Why do you need the scanner at install time? Why not just do the install and sort out the module later?
