I just upgraded my cpu to a 64 bit processor from a 32 bit processor. How do I configure yum and/or up2date to download the 64 bit packages?
You can't. You are still booting a 32bit kernel, and invoke applications in 32bit mode.
You must save whatever data you need to keep, wipe out all partitions, and install the Opteron version of Fedora, from scratch.
