At grub boot screen press "a" and edit the kernel parameter line: remove
"rhgb quiet" and add "acpi=off" (all without quotes). I don't know
whether deactivating ACPI will help at all. But booting without the
quiet option should give you more information. There are updates out -
especially a new kernel - which should help.
