Erm -- that wasn't very helpful. .fetchmailrc does indeed control this: a combination of the "envelope", "envelope 'Received'", and "aka" keywords, in my experience, can be made to handle most stuff. And there are options to help handle the more esoteric stuff. Sometimes it does take a bit of tinkering.
