How do I mount this device?

Hi,

I'm using both vanilla FC3 and rawhide FC3 with an 8 in 1 drive on both
machines which is registered happily in /proc/bus/usb/devices (see
below).

Question is, how do I mount anything put into it - I can't see anything
obvious and I thought that FC3 was supposed to automount anything placed
into it.

T: Bus=04 Lev=00 Prnt=00 Port=00 Cnt=00 Dev#= 1 Spd=12 MxCh= 2
B: Alloc= 0/900 us ( 0%), #Int= 0, #Iso= 0
D: Ver= 1.10 Cls=09(hub ) Sub=00 Prot=00 MxPS= 8 #Cfgs= 1
P: Vendor=0000 ProdID=0000 Rev= 2.06
S: Manufacturer=Linux 2.6.9-1.667 uhci_hcd
S: Product=UHCI Host Controller
S: SerialNumber=0000:00:1d.2
C:* #Ifs= 1 Cfg#= 1 Atr=c0 MxPwr= 0mA
I: If#= 0 Alt= 0 #EPs= 1 Cls=09(hub ) Sub=00 Prot=00 Driver=hub
E: Ad=81(I) Atr=03(Int.) MxPS= 2 Ivl=255ms

T: Bus=04 Lev=01 Prnt=01 Port=00 Cnt=01 Dev#= 2 Spd=12 MxCh= 0
D: Ver= 1.10 Cls=00(>ifc ) Sub=00 Prot=00 MxPS= 8 #Cfgs= 1
P: Vendor=55aa ProdID=b012 Rev= 1.01
S: Manufacturer=
S: Product=8-in-2
S: SerialNumber=38C3EFFD8D
C:* #Ifs= 1 Cfg#= 1 Atr=80 MxPwr=200mA
I: If#= 0 Alt= 0 #EPs= 2 Cls=08(stor.) Sub=06 Prot=50 Driver=usb-
storage
E: Ad=01(O) Atr=02(Bulk) MxPS= 64 Ivl=0ms
E: Ad=82(I) Atr=02(Bulk) MxPS= 64 Ivl=0ms

/sbin/lsusb gives

Bus 004 Device 002: ID 55aa:b012 OnSpec Electronic, Inc.
Bus 004 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Bus 003 Device 002: ID 04e8:3242 Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd
Bus 003 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Bus 002 Device 004: ID 0ac8:0301 Z-Star Microelectronics Corp.
Bus 002 Device 002: ID 050d:0002 Belkin Components
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 0000:0000

To me, this looks like there is a problem in udev with the manufacturer
name not being transfered and also in FC3 not mounting correctly. Any
ideas?
