What is the controller's precise name? I guess it is one of these "fake"
RAID controllers whose RAID only exist in their BIOS and which need a
driver and the CPU for the RAID logic. So they are software RAID
controllers. Does that match for yours? I suggest then to use Linux
software RAID.
