I'm trying to write a crontab entry to run yum update at 0100 and this is as far as I've got '0 1 * * * /usr/bin/yum update' but I'm unsure if this will work. Can anyone reassure me please, or if not, what is the correct syntax? I know that I can run it as a 'service' but that means that it runs at the same time as logwatch and it then doesn't get recorded in logwatch, so I'm hoping that if I run it in advance of logwatch, then logwatch will record it.
