FC2: updates + 2.6.9 kernel = broken dovecot?

OK, I've applied all of this week's updates (via up2date), including xorg, libxml, and the new kernel-2.6.9-1.3_FC2, rebooted to init level 3, downloaded the new nVidia driver 6629, installed it, and changed to init level 5.

I noticed the following during the bootup:

dovecot failed:
> Nov 17 22:14:42 kjc386 dovecot: Fatal:
> Nov 17 22:14:42 kjc386 dovecot: listen(143) failed: Cannot assign requested address
> Nov 17 22:14:42 kjc386 dovecot: dovecot startup failed

"netstat -l" doesn't show anything bound to the IMAP port. And this used to work under 2.6.8-1.521:

> Nov 15 14:34:12 kjc386 dovecot: dovecot startup succeeded

Attempts to restart dovecot fail with the same error.

What am I missing? Or maybe I should ask "what's changed?"

I also had to fix a minor error in one of my local named zone files (apparently, something is more sensitive to the formatting of my HINFO record now.) But I have named is running again, but not dovecot.
