I don't think I'll call 'up2date' as a front-end to 'yum'.

However - up2date can USE 'yum repositories' - along with 'apt
repositories' & 'rhn', do its magic - and resolve dependencies - and
perform installs/updates & other functions.

Check /etc/sysconfig/rhn/sources - and read the comments.
