getting lots of java core files after upgrading to FC3

I've been getting a large number of core files in my home directory
after upgrading from FC2 to FC3. Bug Buddy says these are from java.
Java applets run fine. I haven't noticed java (or anything else)
crashing. I just a whole pile of core files. They seem to come in groups
with similar timestamps.

Has anybody else experienced this? Fixes? Help with figuring out what is
causing it?

Here's the backtrace from Bug Buddy.
