My present FC2 partition was copied from another disk when I lasted upgraded my box. I used either 'cp -a ...' or mc and I now have absolute symlinks everywhere, eg: [root@opal root]# ls -l /etc/X11/X lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 30 Jun 15 20:24 /etc/X11/X -> ../../../../usr/X11R6/bin/Xorg FC3 now tells me that it cannot upgrade a system with absolute symlinks.
