historically, i've found that querying bugzilla doesn't seem to locate what i think should be obviously-filed bugs. recently, i posted on how FC3, early in the install process, suddenly frazzles the colour map on a dell latitude laptop. almost immediately, someone mentioned that that was already filed in bugzilla. ok, i thought, at least i know where to go to read about it. just now, that's what i wanted to do. so i went to bugzilla and did a query, being as wide-ranging as i thought i needed to be: fedora core fc3 anaconda (assuming it's an installer thing) all possible statuses (just to play it safe) all possible resolutions (see above) no filtering keywords at all in short, what i think should give me every possible bugzilla entry related to anaconda in FC3. i get 67 reports, not one of which relates to what i'm looking for. how odd. so i go back and make a single change to the query, adding the word "color" in the string search summary field. zarro boogs found. so what sort of magic incantation am i missing? in fact, i removed the reference to anaconda to let bugzilla at the entire FC3 bug database, and asked it to filter just on the word "color". zarro boogs found. thoughts? rday
