I just purchased a TDK DVD burner. I downloaded and installed xcdroast. When I run it, it says I need ProDVD support. So I downloaded cdrecord-prodvd-2.01b31-i686-pc-linux-gnu. How do I install it?

Thank you.

Joe (An obvious Linux newbie)

Joe,
     Two ways,

1. $ cp -a  cdrecord-prodvd-2.01b31-i686-pc-linux-gnu  ~bin
    $ cd bin
    using 'su -'  or 'sudo'
   # sh cdrecord-prodvd-2.01b31-i686-pc-linux-gnu

2. Go to http://fedoranews.org/tchung/xcdroast/ and you'll find an
   rpm that installs the same and the latest security code.

   Hope this helps     david
