I just booted into Fedora Core 3 in single user mode without smp, and tried to access the hdc drive and it froze up. Then I booted the system into Mandrake Move (which has a 2.4 kernel) and was able to access my files on hdc with no problems. I'd say it's a pretty sure bet that the problem is with Fedora Core 3 or the 2.6 kernel. -- "To announce that there must be no criticism of the president, or that we are to stand by the president, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public." -- Teddy Roosevelt
