Hi Mark, I'm using VMWARE WS 4.5.2 on Windows, so my advice perhaps may not work with the version 3 you use: in version 4.5 I have the option of setting up Shared Folders. Such a shared folde simply cab be one on a disk on your host system. It is especially inteden for the type of use you need. I don't know whether this was already an option in VMWARE WS 3.x.
