I am not using an nvidia driver. I have an ATI Radeon 7200 and I'm using the stock Fedora driver, "kernel/drivers/char/drm/radeon.ko".

Look for a recent posting from Joshua Andrews in this list archive. I am surprised that it did not lock up on you during boot. I tried one in combination with an 815 and the results were very undesired.
Hopefully the community can get together with xorg-x11 and fedora to squash this card malfunctioning problem.
I gave up w/ the card.
