time on fedora splash screen

Hi, I'm wondering how I would go about modifying the date & time display on the Fedora splash screen? The system clock is correctly set as determined by 'date', but splash screen time still displays in UTC timezone... (and googling for this doesn't reveal obvious hits). Any info would be greatly appreciated. thanks, Cameron
