I would really like to know how you did this. I have GF4 440MX and
installed the NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-6629-pkg1. Modified the
/etc/X11/xorg.conf. When I reboot, it gives a message about
reconfigure kernel and hangs.

Be sure you have the udev update package installed: udev-039-10.FC3.1 and copied the udev files like explained on http://fedora.redhat.com/docs/udev.

Alexander

Ok I have nothing in /dev/nvidia* so there is nothing to copy.
Will try the nvida install again.

Mike

The problem has been solved, while still at init 3 I had to copy the /dev/nvidia* to /etc/udev/devices. If you do not then when a reboot occurs the files in /dev/nvidia* are deleted.

Thanks to all who helped.
Mike
