I see another daemon I might not need. The hald does this according to the rpm: HAL is daemon for collection and maintaining information from several sources about the hardware on the system. It provdes a live device list through D-BUS. I guess this for hot plug'n'play ? The hardware on my box doesn't change, do you think I can safely stop it?
