There is indeed no /dev/psaux, though I have made it twice with MAKEDEV. It disappears a each reboot. Also I note that the driver seems to be saying that it does not see the touchpad.
My xorg.conf is below. If I use the two commented lines in the server layout section te replace the two following lines, the system hangs on boot. Can anyone help?
