Try:

cdrecord -v speed=10 <filename>

OR

cdrecord -v dev=ATA:1,0,0 speed=10 <filename>

The 'ATA' has to be capitalized. Sometimes you can omit the 'dev' completely and it will use the default CD-Writer.

Hope that helps.

Ever since I upgraded to FC 2 (from Redhat 8.0), I have not been able
to burn cdrom.

I was using commands like

cdrecord dev=1,0,0 speed=10 fc3_10f4.iso

in Redhat 8.0.

But it fails on FC2
