Hi,
can you propose a program to download DVD images with? (FC3 is coming.
:> ) Something which can handle huge files (unlike mget) and can resume
after disconnects (unlike wget)?
I would strongly recommend using bittorrent to download the DVD ISO. It's
likely to be faster than a download from a single site, checksums each 1MB
chunk as it downloads it (redownloaing if necessary) and has no problems
resuming a download after a disconnect.
Will bittorrent work behind a firewall and a proxy? The FAQ
(http://dessent.net/btfaq/) says that "desproxy" can do some tricks for
me, but it doesn't says how.
Hmmm, no problems here, but that doesn't mean a thing :-) If firewall
and proxy is an issue, and you are able to use ftp, why don't you use
ncftpget? I have downloaded the DVD-ISO of FC2_x86_64 w/no probs.
