Firefox Extensions sage: http://sage.mozdev.org/ or Habari Xenu which you'll find on the Firefox extensions site. I used sage before they added the live bookmark features. You can use it in much the same way with a list of rss feeds in the sidebar. And since it uses a bookmark folder for feeds, it is really easy to add another feed. I used one or another of the standalone feed readers, but never found one as convenient as the Firefox extensions.
