All the entries are still in /var/spool/mqueue saying:

and the log entries say:
Nov 3 15:13:41 fred sendmail[3702]: LAA01551: to=jonathan@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, ctladdr=root (0/0), delay=03:57:27, xdelay=00:00:00, mailer=relay, relay=relay-2.mail.demon.net., stat=Deferred: No route to host
Does this happen for all outgoing mail from that machine, or just mail to your own domain?
Given that this machine can't see the 'Net, where is it getting the name of the relay machine from ?
It can't even see DNS?
