Paul, > Dovecot is an IMAP server but can also be configured to provide POP3(S) > service, so it depends on how it's being configured and used. I am using it in the "out of the box" FC2 arrangement, connecting to the IPP port, not POP3, and using Evolution set in 'IMAPD' mode. Jonathan
