I know that there were some bugs in the lvm2 snapshot feature in early kernels, but as I can see you are running the latest one, and are able to create a snap shot. May I suggest (considering the lack of response here) that you submit a bug report to http://bugzilla.redhat.com/ detailing the problem that your having, and any output that you can capture (try running dmesg in another virtual terminal, or some thing similar.
