RE: Recommendations for home backup solution

Could you please do me a huge favor and send me the steps you used to
configure it? I have tried unsuccessfully to install it on FC1 and FC2
using the current and previous versions. I could never get the web
interface to come up and could not find any step-by-step instructions.
The software really looks interesting and I'd like to try it out.

Thanks for all the responses on this. Lots to go on.

For now I've configured up BackupPC (http://backuppc.sourceforge.net/),
storing to an external (firewire) automounted HD. Easy and good so far,
and the fact that I can use my fedora box to back up windows machines
without having to do any config on the latter is pretty sweet.

Not my final word, as I can see advantages to the rsync/dirvish
approaches too.

CB.
