Hi I'm trying to rsync entire hdd nightly, but want to exclude some directories. I saw rsync has tar-like syntax for excluding and tried various combinations, but it still includes them. For example: rsync -acSx --delete --exclude 'bbc1.9e-btf/' --exclude '/tmp/' /mnt/sda/ /mnt/hdc send_files failed to open /mnt/sda/usr/local/bbuser/bbc1.9e- btf/tmp/combo.21192: No such file or directory Also tried --exlude 'bbuser/*/tmp/'.
