KDE occupies GDM

Just tried kde-redhat on a FC2-machine, but it did not have
internationalisation for the office-packages, so I did a downgrade back
to a very vanilla up to date FC2/Updates/Extras/Livna-machine.

The downgrade was actually quite smoothly done, but one last thing is
haunting me. The default desktop through GDM is still KDE.

I cannot see any suspicious thin in any of the configuration files i am
aware of:

/etc/X11/gdm/gdm.conf looks unsuspicious to me
/etc/X11/gdm/Sessions includes both GNOME and KDE
/etc/X11/dm/Sessions includes GNOME

$ cat /etc/sysconfig/desktop
DESKTOP="GNOME"

# switchdesk gnome
-> no effect

$ switchdesk gnome
-> no effect

# gdmsetup
I cannot find any configuration tool to set the default desktop.

Do I miss anything out? In the meantime I am even thinking of KDM having
genetically modified itself to look exactly like GDM.

Simply: I ran out of ideas. Maybe somebody knows the little bit I am
missing out.

Thanks
Markus
