Hi, I've a machine that don't halt. Firstly i suppose that was a ACPI problem. But it isn't. Now, I suppose that there is some problem with NFS. The machine imports, from NFS, the /home from a Fedora 2 Server with H.A. Another information is that when the user logs out, some processes owned by this user are still running. Anyone have a clue? Thanks, and sorry by the previuos message, i got some confusion with the evolution shortcuts. :-) below, the dmesg of the, machine: Linux version 2.6.8-1.521-t1 (root@marcelo) (gcc version 3.3.3 20040412 (Red Hat Linux 3.3.3-7)) #3 Fri Sep 24 12:05:55 BRT 2004 BIOS-provided physical RAM map: BIOS-e820: 0000000000000000 - 000000000009fc00 (usable) BIOS-e820: 000000000009fc00 - 00000000000a0000 (reserved) BIOS-e820: 00000000000f0000 - 0000000000100000 (reserved) BIOS-e820: 0000000000100000 - 000000000ffec000 (usable) BIOS-e820: 000000000ffec000 - 000000000ffef000 (ACPI data) BIOS-e820: 000000000ffef000 - 000000000ffff000 (reserved) BIOS-e820: 000000000ffff000 - 0000000010000000 (ACPI NVS) BIOS-e820: 00000000ffff0000 - 0000000100000000 (reserved) 255MB LOWMEM available. zapping low mappings.
