Going along well with the VNC until I received the error:

error opening security policy /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xserver/SecurityPolicy
Could not init font path element /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/CID/, removing
from list.

You want tightvnc.  It will let you bring up your Fedora desktop on another
machine (even <gasp> Windows).

Look at the man pages for netstat, route and ifconfig.
