Yes, the Sony vaio has a docking station that is connected through firewire

Well but I still need it, by the way witch module a normal i-link port use
in 2.6 kernel?

The ohci1394.ko is not part of the original instalattions, so I switch to
the source kernel and do a make modules and make modules_install then I need
to put the ohci13944 on top of the rc.system script before the system loads
the usb drivers.

I'm sory about the English.
