I would argue seriously against writing anything to the NTFS partition from linux. I have had occasion to move files from Windows to linux from NTFS partitions but only copying the file to linux and next time I boot to Windows, I delete the file if I need to. I've blown up my share of NTFS partitions playing around with writing from linux. It's not for the faint hearted. -------------------------------------- Mark Haney Network Administrator InterAct Public Safety Systems mhaney@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Fedora Core release 2 (Tettnang) Kernel: 2.6.8-1.521 GNU/Linux 13:28:26 up 5:50, 2 users, load average: 8.53, 8.18, 8.14
