I need some recommendations on equipment thats FC2 supported to perform surveillance that will provide video and audio that will stand up in court. i.e. high enough in resolution to be regarded as credible. Just reading the specs on equipment I've Googled for doesn't tell me what I'm going to need. That requires experience I don't have.

in my area the police will setup monitoring equipment after enough people complain. doing this kind of thing off the cuff could leave you wide open for a harassment lawsuit...and this jerk sounds like the kind of person who would be happy to do it.

whatever you do, the police need to help you get the job done right the first time. here's an idea that works out here...get all your neighbors to sign a letter to the police asking that a detective be assigned to the problem. the det. will probably research and get an officer to set up the proper equipment etc.

(few people will want to see or hear the rest of this, so you might want to stop reading now)

that being said, my dog and motorcycles piss my neighbors off sometimes. i try to keep things quiet in general and certainly between evening and morning. beyond that, it's my world, too. i hear all their kids screaming all day long and don't complain about it. my bike is loud when i get called in to work early, say 5:30 am, or when i take off for a ride in the middle of the day. sorry, it takes two minutes to warm up and go. that's the way it is.

if the police aren't suporting you in this it could be because you have gotten mental about the situation. if the slightest engine noise makes you run to the window and peek through the shades at your neighbor's house, it might be your problem.

all too often a group of humans will "pick" one in their group to be "the scapegoat" because that person is a little different. that individual gets all of the group's negative attention moving forward. be careful that you aren't falling into this kind of groupthink.
