Video Capture + Seeing it

Hi all,

  I know that with gnomemeeting, I can see what my webcam is showing;
I also know that with w3cam, I can capture a streaming video data of
my webcam.

  However, I would like to be able to capture + view the data from the
webcam at the same time (into a lossless format, like a crap load of
PNGs) -- can anyone suggest a program I should use for this?
