Have you tried a locate to find out whether this library is on your machine ?
Example:
[dharshi]$ locate libcom /usr/include/boost/config/stdlib/libcomo.hpp /usr/lib/ooo-1.1/program/libcomphelp3gcc3.so /usr/lib/gnome-vfs-2.0/modules/libcomputer.so /usr/lib/mozilla-1.6/components/libcomposer.so /usr/lib/libcom_err.a /usr/lib/libcom_err.so /lib/libcom_err.so.2 /lib/libcom_err.so.2.1 /opt/mozilla/thunderbird-0.6/components/libcomposer.so
See if the file you are looking for is present. I don't have the file on my system, so it may make sense to ask on the Courier mailing list if you could just link the /usr/lib/libcom_err.so.2 to /usr/lib/libcom_err.so.3 (this should be a really last last resort) or check to see if there is a new version of this library on a repository or if you are paying for RHN then check via up2date.
Cheers,
Aly.
